5 Little Houses

This morning I made the 5 little houses this row along makes me smile everytime there is a new row to make it's turning out so cute, I know Lori says not to assemble the rows but I have been as they look seasonal so I figure the stars and houses will be at the top and will continue adding the next 5 rows below the houses. Cute Cute Cute

Small Duffel Bag

Was waiting for the 10th row for the row along and it wasn't posted yesterday. When I was sorting through my patterns I came across a McCalls pattern for duffel bags. Can't remember the last time I used a paper pattern--- thinking when I made a Halloween costume for my grandson when he was 4. What a pain if I do one again I will just measure the pieces and rotary cut instead of using scissors.

Then it came to the zipper and all I had was a 15" and it called for a 16" ended up cutting the sides 1/2" both sides, it turned out cute.
The 10th row is now posted and they are 5 little houses beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com
hope to pull fabric and start tomorrow.

Civil War Melodies

I worked all morning attaching the last 3 rows then the borders I love how it turned out I stitched all around the top so it won't stretch. so it is now a top, this one will have to be sent out to be quilted as it won't fit on my frame, need to save some money.

Working on CW Melodies

I've been working on Melodies, got months 3 and 4 done then decided to work on the border blocks as there are quite a few and it always feels better when you come to attaching the borders they are done, did this with the Chronicles quilt. So I have 6 more months to do.
Think I will take a day off these tomorrow and pull out 16 fabrics for Lori's Row Along this time it's stars http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.ca/

Civil War Melodies started

I've been so itching to start this one but I had to have 1 of my UFO's ready to quilt so I made up the backing and aired the batting and now Wildflower Rhapsody is loaded on the frame and ready to quilt.
Yesterday I cut and made 1 block of the 1st month need 9, after I snow blew the driveway I finished the last 8, the second month has 6 blocks and I just finished them. 3rd month calls for only 4 blocks so should be able to get those done might do the cutting yet today. I think this one will be another of my favorites.

YEAR 2013

A new year, we had an awesome Christmas Shawn(son) Deanne(DIL) and Autumn (granddaughter) came for the holidays went tubing was so much fun, weather was not to cold.

Shawn sent me a picture of Maddie my new granddaughter dressed up for New Years
On the quilting side I made a list of UFO's and new starts for this year, my list of ufo's need to be worked on before I can start new ones.

I got the Civil War Melodies kit and just love the fabric and why not my favorite fabric to work with.
Oh I see Debonaire is in the pic with new starts for 2013.
Vintage Holidays is by Thimble Blossoms, fabric is ordered waiting for it to arrive, no rush as I can't start the 2 new ones till I get a couple ufo's done. The scrappy civil war quilt is on the frame and ready for me to get to it, need to wind some bobbins and should havemy first finish for 2013.
