Flurry is finished

Made up the scrappy binding for Flurry and attached this morning love how this turned out. Christmas in April. This was a free download and I used a layer cake all I have left of the layer cake is 2-10" squares and 1-6x10". I just meandered loops for the quilting part.

Swoon is now loaded on the frame made up the backing this morning so when ever I get the urge I can start, it is suppose to be a nice weekend and Randy wants to add a small waterfall in the stream to the pond so yesterday I pulled back the rocks, when I was cleaning the leaves out of the pond I found the 1 fish I couldn't find last fall when I brought the other 5 in he was still alive how cool is that, so he is now in the basement with the other 5 till I get the pond ready,

Home from retreat

What a productive retreat, had a blast ate to much, met new quilting friends got to see my old friends, used a lot of face muscles laughing. Signed up and paid for the fall retreat in Oct.
Got 3 tops done 2 BOM blocks for Wildflower Rhapsody,  made extra 9 present blocks for the backing of the Christmas present top called Flurry,  worked on the granny square top, lots done.

Off to Retreat tomorrow

Well 1 more sleep, just packed my suitcase this morning, so I'm ready. Thought my order from Connecting Threads and my Ott light would have been here today but no :( Will take me 1.5 hrs to get to retreat. Need to pick-up a few things in Salmon Arm, and now I need to get some pond liner as Randy wants to put a small waterfall in the stream, guess that will be next weekends job.  I'm debating whether to wait till after 10 for the mail delivery for my order, will see how ancy I am in the morning after my shower. Whatever this time tomorrow I'll be sewing :)

3 sleeps

Down to 3 more sleeps till retreat yahoo. Been playing outside as the weather has been really nice, raking, breaking up snow washed my car, moved some wood and hosed down the driveway lots of sand and gravel looks much better. Pic of pond area almost a week from last pic it's going.

Been making my way towards the pond and I finally got it open. Think I will wait till this snow melts on the grass and will rake it this weekend.

The back shed I can get to now. The river has opened up and noisy as its flowing. And I raked the front lawn that was exposed, now my back is sore but it was fun to play outside, a little at a time.

Organizing for Retreat

Well 10 days and retreat time so today I cleaned and oiled my sewing machine, packed up my projects, it's all on the main floor from the basement where my sewing room is. All I need to do is pack my bag. I ordered an Ott Light but don't know if I'll get it before I go, seeing it's Easter long weekend, if not I will have it for the fall retreat. I did also ordered an electric rotary blade sharpener from Connecting Threads and I just received an email that it's in the Canadian postal system so it will be here this week.
Still lots of snow though it is going slowly I so want to play in the dirt, sunny day today that always helps with the melt.
