Sewing

Today I was busy making backings for the 3 tops I have done, the Christmas Bulbs are on the frame this one has been on the frame since the spring retreat just needed to make the backing now it's almost quilted doing an all over meandering loops, they are so easy to do. Should have it done tomorrow, then I think I'll load the Strawberry top. Could have 3 finished this month.
Still enjoying my chickens, they must be happy as I get 10 eggs from 10 chickens

Inside the coop Randy made a screen door

LONG break

Been gone for awhile nothing much for sewing during the summer, got my chickens which I love getting 10 eggs a day happy girls and yes they are spoiled.
When I went to the quilt show I bought a small Janome for the quilt retreats, just in the last few days have I had a chance to play with her.
Just got caught up with http://lindasquiltmania.blogspot.ca/s BOW doing it in red/black/white for my granddaughter she has changed her colours in her bedroom to these.
The weather has been horrible lately lots of rain, so decided to get some sewing done to get primed for the fall retreat 17th of Oct. also need to get some cutting done for the projects I plan on bringing, got to think on that.
Hope to post more often, Randy needs minor surgery on the 7th need to be there for 12:30 but surgery will take place 2hrs later going to be a long day need to get some hand work like some binding on some doll quilt to bring while I wait.

Been awhile MIA

Been awhile got lots to do outside, no sewing going on here. I did go to my very 1st quilt show in Salmon Arm and wouldn't you know forgot my camera It was awesome. Haven't really wanted to sew which is the norm in the summer.
Randy gutted a camper that was given to us for a chicken coop, well I think he could have made it from scratch and had it done faster oh well must be a man think to rip apart and redo. he got the run done last weekend and I've been looking for laying hens, finally got some on Monday 10 laying hens that just started to lay the day I got them, though 1 of them is holding out as I only got 9 eggs for 2 days, they are fun to watch.

Here are my first eggs see the one on the right it is really big.

Been awhile had a great time at the retreat signed up and paid for the fall retreat in Oct.
Got Lori's row along done love how this one turned out every time I look at it it makes me smile
Also got the Christmas Bulbs done
Darlene BOM is coming along I decided to quilt as I go with this top there was suppost  to be applique in the border where I tried to quilt feathers, haven't attached the top and bottom rows for April yet actually haven't pieced them yet will wait for May's blocks and will play catch up when I get into the mood for sewing.
I've got 11 doll quilts made so far they are so much fun to make and are quick projects.
So now I have a couple tops to quilt, think I need to go through my stash and see what I got for backing.
Got all the flower beds cleaned out and shrubs pruned.
